Monday. For some it's the beginning of a new work week. To Chip and me is the beginning of a new week on the road enjoy the splendid landscapes. For those who are not on vacation or want to spend 3 minutes of fun I recommend the video below.
It has become our little ritual to start the day. Today we left New Orleans and the detour road we explore a scenic bayou. It was like I imagined it with water and vegetation marrying so well, and wildlife at the corner of the eye.
After this step we Ushuaia along the entire coast of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi until the capital of Florida, Tallahassee. The road was not a long river quiet and was marked by many events. We are watching for any document incontinence BP and had the opportunity to see several times the fouled beaches and the sea. Chip I even brought her a gift thongs oiled sand from Destin.
We past the first trap of our Toyota Decepticon thanks to a brave Power Ranger and a little air in the tire was half emptied. But the Prius was more than one trick up his sleeve. After failing to get the fuel gauge for 200 miles, the last 2 indicators have evaporated in less than 20 miles. With a car "normal" everybody knows that once the fuel indicator is still there appeared at least 50 km the tank. Prius it makes you pay your Fidelity disappear by magic squares, and by flashing the latest and if you did not obey it takes control of your vehicle. It's a bit shocking to see that the car itself decide to limit your speed to 50 mph on a highway. In distress we have lived the longest mile of our lives after a stop when the car exceeded even the most 5 mph and he had to cross the highway. Our chip has suggested Ave Maria and so we pray that the car will restart after a full stop. Promised future of the car loses an indicator of gasoline I'm full!
THE good news of the day was that we're back in civilization and that we leave behind us the heresy that is the Central Time. Can you imagine living in a timezone or the late show starting at 11:30 pm and finished at midnight is SNL? Imagine if the Pacific followed the same principle. Everyone could go to bed after the late show at 8am;)
Our day has another surprise for last. In the desert of 3G and because there are things you can do on an iPhone (like to sort through a dozen options for the rest of the trip), we went in search of a Starbucks and the oasis of WiFi. What was our surprise to learn that high-speed Internet is a luxury for some coffee drinkers! Our world was bouleversifie!
After several attempts, we finally found access to the World Wide Web to guide us to the rest of our adventure, which leads us tonight on the road south.
